Bernadette Reid is the Executive Director of the Presentation School Foundation Community Center, where she oversees and manages the daily operations and functions of the organization. She holds dual Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Criminal Justice from Suffolk University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northeastern University.
Bernadette has worked in the field of Health and Human Services and Social Justice for over 20 years with children, youth and families in many communities both in throughout Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts. She is actively involved with many groups and organizations in areas of social justice, organizational and community development, child protection, adoption, and foster care. Bernadette is the Vice President of the Norfolk-Plymouth County Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She also sits on the Board of Trustees for the Anna B. Stearns Charitable Foundation, the Board of Directors for New England Community Services, and the Allston-Brighton Health Collaborative Steering Committee.
For many years, Bernadette has worked to create a safe environment for youth, particularly teen girls, to have a voice and develop invaluable skills that will increase the likelihood of positive outcomes. As a result of her work in empowering young women, she was one of the 2013 NAACP Boston Branch Image Award recipients.
